Honours. Thesis Supervisor shall be defined as an individual who supervises a student conducting research in a specific field of interest for the production of an honours thesis. Duties related to the position include preparation, regular student consultation, assessment of student's work, and submission of grades, as required. After having received academic and financial approval from the Xxxx, a Department Chair may offer a bargaining unit member the position of Honours Thesis Supervisor, without posting the position. If accepted, the offer shall be set out in writing and sent to the member (copied to the Union). The stipend for this work shall be in accordance with Appendix A provided that, where responsibility for the work is shared, the stipend shall be appropriately pro-rated.
