UNION SERVICE. (a) The Company shall allow time off work without pay for any employee who is serving on a Union Committee for purposes of discussions with the Company, or serving as a Union delegate to any conference or function, provided all requests for time off are reasonable and do not interfere with the proper operation of the business.
UNION SERVICE. The Employer agrees to provide the Union by September of each year the equivalent of one and a half Course Instructor base stipends for the purpose of paying members for Union service. These monies may be distributed among the members of the Union Executive and/or membership as seen fit by the Union.
UNION SERVICE. The Company shall allow time off work without pay to attend union business provided at least two week's notice is given and further provided that it will not interfere with the efficient operation of the business.

UNION SERVICE. (a) The Employer shall allow time off work without pay for any employee who is serving on a Union Committee for purpose of discussions with the Employer, or serving as a Union delegate to any conference or function, provided all requests for time off are reasonable and do not interfere with the proper operation of the business. No employee who acts within the scope of this sub-section shall lose or be discriminated against for so acting.
UNION SERVICE. *7.1 In recognition of the fact that service for the Union can limit the ability of Employees to make themselves available for full employment, the Employer agrees to pay the Union by 30 September of each year the equivalent of nine and one half (9.5) Full Appointments at the level of Teaching Assistant. In years when the Collective Agreement must be renegotiated, the Employer agrees to pay the Union the equivalent of three (3) additional Full Appointments at the level of Teaching Assistant.

UNION SERVICE. 12.01 One Shop Xxxxxxx per shift shall be recognized by the Employer and shall be given reasonable time to carry out his duties to resolve disputes. The Union agrees to notify the Employer, in writing, of the name of each Shop Xxxxxxx.
UNION SERVICE. Up to two (2) years leave without pay for Union service. Upon proper application an employee who is an officer of the union, or who is appointed to its staff, shall be given a leave of absence without pay for the purpose of performing legitimate duties for the Union. Except in an emergency, application for said leave shall be made in writing at least thirty (30) days before the opening of school. Such shall be given annual salary increments of the salary scale appropriate to his/her rank. Only one (1) teacher at a time can be on a Union Leave.
UNION SERVICE. The Business Agent and President shall receive a two dollar ($2.00) per hour increase to their regular Hourly Pay Rate. The Safety Officer shall receive a one dollar ($1.00) per hour increase to their regular Hourly Pay Rate upon successful completion of the OSHA safety certification. The OSHA safety certification shall consist of a forty (40) hour OSHA training course. Training expenses in achieving the OSHA safety certification shall be approved in advance and paid by the Company. The Hourly Pay Rate increase shall remain in effect as long as they hold the position and the OSHA safety certification is maintained.
