Pre-Planned Leave of Absence Without Pay for Union Business. A Union member elected or appointed to Local Union Office will be granted an unpaid leave for purposes of performing Union business on behalf of the Local and/or Bargaining Unit, where the Manager of Employee Relations/Services has received and approved a written request from the Union at least five (5) business days in advance of the requested time off, on the following terms and conditions:
