Common use of Preliminary Change Assessment Clause in Contracts

Preliminary Change Assessment. As an answer to an XM draft change request, prior to formal request for change, the Contractor shall provide to XM a preliminary change assessment, which includes the following: 1. A brief description of the change; 2. rough order of magnitude (ROM) of the cost impact of the change; 3. estimated schedule impact; and 4. other special programmatic considerations, including time required for a response. XM will evaluate the preliminary change assessment and advise the Contractor whether to proceed with a detailed proposal.
