Preliminary Construction Sequence. The Engineer shall prepare preliminary construction sequence layouts in conjunction with the geometric design schematic depicting the phasing and traffic detours anticipated to safely convey traffic. The layouts must demonstrate that adequate horizontal and vertical alignments are maintained, sufficient lane widths and shoulder widths or barrier offsets are feasible, and construction zones are adequate for constructability of all proposed features. Proposed construction detours must ensure that adequate superelevation is provided. The layouts must indicate how existing pedestrian and bicycle facilities are accommodated for each phase.
Preliminary Construction Sequence. The Engineer shall prepare a Preliminary Construction Sequence Layout in conjunction with the DocuSign Envelope ID: 92042E15-24A8-4715-A668-00F8B487D7CE Geometric Schematic depicting the phasing and traffic detours anticipated to construct the proposed design.
Preliminary Construction Sequence. The Engineer shall evaluate and document the requirements for construction staging and traffic control throughout the development of schematic design to ensure that the proposed design can be constructed. The Engineer shall prepare preliminary construction sequence roll plots in conjunction with the geometric design schematic depicting the phasing and traffic detours anticipated to safely convey traffic. The roll plots must demonstrate that adequate horizontal and vertical alignments are maintained, sufficient lane widths and shoulder widths or barrier offsets are feasible, and construction zones are adequate for constructability of all proposed features. Proposed construction detours must ensure that adequate superelevation is provided. The layouts must indicate how existing pedestrian and bicycle facilities are accommodated for each phase.
Preliminary Construction Sequence. The Engineer shall prepare a Preliminary Construction Sequence Layout in conjunction with the Geometric Schematic depicting the phasing and traffic detours anticipated to construct the proposed design. The Engineer shall consider the requirements for construction and traffic control throughout the development of schematic design to ensure that the proposed design can be constructed. The construction sequencing plan will be coordinated with the proposed paving, drainage, and existing and proposed utility locations, structures, signalized intersections, pedestrian pathways and sidewalks. The Engineer shall submit the preliminary construction sequencing plan to the State for review and approval. Up to two alternate sequencing plans/phasing layouts will be prepared for consideration and final determination by the State which alternate to incorporate into the plans.
Preliminary Construction Sequence. The Engineer shall prepare two (2) Preliminary Construction Sequence Layouts in conjunction with the Geometric Schematic depicting the phasing and traffic detours anticipated for both the Conventional Traffic Control and Traffic Handling method and the Pavement Salvaging Traffic Control and Traffic Handling method to construct the proposed design. The approved Construction Sequence will be provided as part of the PS&E.
