Common use of Premium for Sunday Work Clause in Contracts

Premium for Sunday Work. 26.01 During the life of the contract, the Company agrees to pay employees who are scheduled to work and do work, two dollars ($2.00) per hour in addition to their straight time hourly rate for each hour worked on Sunday and the day observed by the Company as Paid Holidays as per Article 31. 26.02 It is understood that this additional rate of two dollars ($2.00) shall only be paid for hours worked between 12:01 a.m. and 11:59 p.m. on Sunday and Paid Holidays. 26.03 The above premium is to be calculated without regard to overtime provisions. In other words, the premium is paid for all hours worked but not to be calculated with overtime premium.
