Common use of President, ONA Clause in Contracts

President, ONA. Upon application, in writing, by the Union on behalf of the Employee to the Employer, a leave of absence shall be granted to such Employee elected to the office of President of the Ontario Nurses' Association for a period of up to two (2) years. The Employee shall continue to accrue seniority and service during her absence. During such leave of absence, the Employee’s salary and applicable benefits shall be maintained by the Employer and the Union agrees to reimburse the Employer the amount of the full cost of such salary and applicable benefits. The Employee agrees to notify the Employer of her intention to return to work at least four (4) weeks prior to the date of return.
