Prevention of accidents. a. District shall make reasonable provisions for the safety of employees in the performance of their work. It shall provide each new employee with a safety indoctrination during the first five (5) days of employment, which shall include giving such employee a copy of the Accident Prevention Rules. b. District and Union shall cooperate in promoting the realization of the responsibility of the individual employee and supervisor with regard to the prevention of accidents. The safety rules of the state having jurisdiction shall be observed by the parties hereto. It is recognized that the employer has the exclusive responsibility for providing a safe and healthful workplace and it is the responsibility of all employees to comply with all safety rules and regulations promulgated for maintaining a safe and healthful workplace.
