The Sheriff will issue a pamphlet to all patrol officers and instruct that they keep them readily available for use during contacts with the public. Specific training will be provided by the Sheriff to all patrol officers and officers working in the field regarding this requirement. For purposes of this Agreement, the Sheriff agrees that Personnel will give Primary Consideration to the requests of individuals with disabilities as is required as a measure toward taking Appropriate Steps to Ensure Effective Communications. See 28 C.F.R. § 35.160(a)-(b).
