Such criteria and guidelines will be based on the professional standards and expectations of the academic disciplines within his/her College, School or Library, and shall conform to the University-wide norms in the three areas of teaching/librarianship, scholarship, and service as delineated in Appendix II of the Faculty Handbook. The criteria so developed also may establish a differential weighting rubric to be applied to the three professional categories of teaching/librarianship, scholarship, and service that applications for Merit Adjustments to Base Salary would address.
