Privacy and Off-Duty Conduct. 28.1 Employees have the right to confidentiality related to individual performance, personal information and personnel issues to the extent provided/allowed by law. The Employer and the Union will take appropriate steps to maintain such confidentiality. 28.2 When documents or information in an employee’s personnel, payroll, supervisor or training file are the subject of a public disclosure request, the Employer will provide the employee with a copy of the request at least seven (7) calendar days in advance of the intended release date. The Employer will redact the employee’s social security number on any document subject to a public disclosure request prior to its release. 28.3 The off-duty activities of an employee will not be grounds for disciplinary action unless said activities are a conflict of interest as set forth in RCW 42.52, or are detrimental to the employee’s work performance or the program of the agency.
