Probationary Employee Procedures. a. All entry level probationary employees will be tested, on a random basis, a maximum of six times during their probationary period. b. Probationary employees will only be tested twice unless their "testing entity" is randomly selected. c. Entry-level probationary employees will initially be selected for testing while undergoing recruit officer training at the Academy. The second test will be administered once the individual has graduated and has been assigned to field duties. MLS personnel will ensure this occurs.
