Common use of PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT AND IMPROVEMENT Clause in Contracts

PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT AND IMPROVEMENT. A. The Committee agrees to pay reasonable expenses (including meals, lodging, and/or transportation and fees), incurred by teachers who with the written approval of the Superintendent-Director attend workshops, seminars, conferences, or other professional improvement sessions with the approval of the School Committee or their designated agent. B. 1. Exclusive of monies expended under Section A. above each unit member who completes professional improvement requirements or takes courses shall be reimbursed individually in an amount not to exceed three thousand dollars ($3000.00) over the life of the Agreement.
