Common use of Professional Improvement Leave Clause in Contracts

Professional Improvement Leave. Regular certificated employees, with tenure status, upon recommendation of the Superintendent, may be granted a leave of absence without compensation for the purpose of professional improvement. The professional improvement shall be in conjunction with an accredited college or university. Such leave shall not last less than one semester nor more than one year. No teaching experience credit shall be given for this leave.
