Promotion and Transfer of Staff. In matters of promotion and staff transfer a successful bargaining unit applicant shall be allowed a trial period of up to forty (40) days (three hundred [300] hours for employees whose regular hours of work are other than the standard work day) worked during which the Employer will determine if the employee can satisfactorily perform the job. Within this period the employee may voluntarily return, or be returned by CAMH, to the position formerly occupied, without loss of seniority. Should the employee return or be returned to his former job, the filling of subsequent vacancies will be reversed. If the employee is returned to her former position she shall be informed of the reasons for such return.
