PROMOTION TO SUPERVISORY POSITION. A. An Employee promoted or transferred from a job classification in the Bargaining Unit to a supervisory position shall retain the seniority Employee had at the time of such promotion or transfer and shall continue to accumulate seniority while he is in said supervisory position for a period of eighteen (18) months.

PROMOTION TO SUPERVISORY POSITION. A. An Employee promoted or transferred from a job classification in the Patrolman and Detective Patrolman Bargaining Unit to a supervisory position shall retain the seniority Employee had at the time of such promotion or transfer and shall continue to accumulate seniority while he Employee is in said such supervisory position for a period of not to exceed eighteen (18) monthsconsecutive months from date or promotion or transfer.
