Promotion While on Initial Probation. 6.3.1 A probationary employee who has been promoted shall serve a probationary period as stipulated in article 6.2.1. A probationary employee who does not successfully complete the probationary period of the promotion shall revert to the position held prior to the promotion, or by mutual agreement the employee may revert to a similar position, at the same step in the salary range, subject to any increments that would have been earned had the promotion not taken place. In either case, the employee will be required to serve out the remainder of the initial probationary period for the original position.
