  • Competent Authority Exchange of information concerning Competent Authority Requests is expected to take place between the Competent Authorities or their authorized representatives. The Competent Authorities intend to provide written notification to each other providing contact information (name, title, and mailing address) for each jurisdiction’s Competent Authority for purposes of the IGA, and to update this contact information, as appropriate.

  • Government Entities If You are a U.S. Government entity, then Your use, duplication or disclosure of the Software is subject to the following restricted rights clause: The Software is a “Commercial Item,” as that term is defined in 48 C.F.R. §2.101, consisting of “commercial computer Licensed Software” and “computer software documentation,” as such terms are used in 48 C.F.R. §252.227-7014(a)(1) and 48 C.F.R. §252.227-7014(a)(5), respectively, and used in 48 C.F.R. §12.212 and 48 C.F.R. §227.7202, as applicable, and all as amended from time to time. Consistent with 48 C.F.R. §12.212 and 48 C.F.R. §227.7202-1 through 227.7202-4, and other relevant sections of the Code of Federal Regulations, as applicable, and all as amended from time to time, all U.S. Government entities license the Software (i) only as Commercial Items, and (ii) with only the rights explicitly set forth in this License Agreement and the Sales Order.

  • Competent Authorities The Parties shall inform each other about the structure, organisation and division of competences of their competent authorities during the first meeting of the Sanitary and Phytosanitary Sub-Committee referred to in Article 65 of this Agreement ("SPS Sub-Committee"). The Parties shall inform each other of any change of the structure, organisation and division of competences, including of the contact points, concerning such competent authorities.

  • Body Armor In recognition of the need to enhance the personal safety of security personnel at DHMH and Correctional Facilities, the parties agree that non-probationary security personnel who have contact with forensic patients and/or inmates should generally have the opportunity to have individually fitted stab proof vests and, in addition, individually fitted bullet proof vests will be provided to officers on an “as-needed” basis. The sharing of vests shall not be considered an acceptable practice and vests may transferred from employee to employee only if such vests are a proper fit and are appropriately sanitized in accordance with practices necessary to eliminate the risk of the spread of MRSA and other communicable diseases. The parties agree to meet and agree to policies, including any limitations or exclusions, for the provision of stab proof vests to correctional officers and security attendants by January 31, 2008. In developing the policies, the committee shall:

  • Agency Neither Party is, nor will be deemed to be, an employee, agent or representative of the other Party for any purpose. Each Party is an independent contractor, not an employee or partner of the other Party.   • Governmental Function In accordance with C.G.S. § 1-218, if the amount of this Contract exceeds two million five hundred thousand dollars ($2,500,000), and the Contractor is a "person" performing a "governmental function", as those terms are defined in C.G.S. § 1 200(4) and (11), the Agency is entitled to receive a copy of the Records and files related to the Contractor's performance of the governmental function, which may be disclosed by the Agency pursuant to the FOIA.

  • Governmental Authority “Governmental Authority” means any federal, state, municipal, foreign or other government, governmental department, commission, board, bureau, agency or instrumentality, or any private or public court or tribunal.

  • Authority of Contractor The Contractor shall have no right or authority, express or implied, to commit or otherwise obligate the Company in any manner whatsoever except to the extent specifically provided herein or specifically authorized in writing by the Company.
