Qualifications for Acting Captain. 20.11.1 All Fire Fighter I’s in the Fire Fighting Division with six (6) years of service or more shall be eligible to qualify by examination and personal assessment for acting captaincy consideration. To qualify for acting captaincy consideration, a Fire Fighter I must attain an overall xxxx of 60%. In the event the Fire Fighter fails to qualify, he shall have the opportunity to qualify at the time of a future examination. The examination dates for acting captaincy consideration will be posted in January. Acting captaincy consideration examinations will be held in the month of May each year for Fire Fighters who qualify as to service requirements as of March 31st of that year. The Fire Fighter shall not be on the qualified acting captaincy list until completion of seven (7) years service.
