Rate of Pay on Promotion. The hourly pay equity rate of pay of an Employee promoted to a higher paid classification shall be advanced to that hourly pay equity rate in the applicable pay band which is next higher than the Employee’s current hourly pay equity rate of pay, or to the hourly pay equity rate of pay that is next highest again if the initial advancement of the hourly rate is less than the Employee’s next normal increment in her/his pay band.
