RE: ADVANCE OF PENDING ILLNESS CLAIMS. (a) In the event that an employee who is unable attend to work as a result of an illness applies for EI and there is a delay in her receiving an EI cheque because of an administrative error by the Employer or a delay by EI in processing the claim, the Employer will, upon request of the employee, advance to the employee an amount equal to that owed by EI. The delay referred to herein does not include the normal waiting period.
