Prep Time. Each teacher shall be provided daily with a minimum of an uninterrupted sixty (60) minute preparation period, except that an emergency, as determined by the Appointing Authority, within an institution may temporarily necessitate other assignments. During prep time, teachers must be allowed full access to their class room or designated workspace without disruption. Part-time teachers shall receive a pro-rated preparation period based on ten (10) minutes for each class period taught, with a minimum of thirty (30) minutes per day.
Prep Time. For full day 10-month (184 day) or 12-month (223 day) teachers, 45 minutes of uninterrupted daily prep time will be provided to each teacher to be used for professional activities (for example, classroom preparations, parent conferences, and peer consultations).
Prep Time. Scheduling of classes at the elementary school shall be done in a manner that allows teachers to have a minimum of 30 minutes continuous prep time each day. Xxxxxxx Middle School and Xxxxxxx High School teachers shall be guaranteed a minimum of one period of prep time per day, equal to one period of class time.
Prep Time. The Employer agrees to allow the Union Chairperson a reasonable time in advance of any Step 2 grievance meeting in order that he/she may prepare for such meeting.
Prep Time. Each Title I teacher will be provided a minimum of 30 minutes of preparation time per day.
Prep Time. All teachers will be granted one (1) prep time per day of at least 35 uninterrupted minutes for elementary and at least equal minutes to one class period taught for secondary.
A. An exception is when the teacher agrees to give up his or her prep time to teach another section.
B. Half-time certified instructors are expected to teach three (3) periods or three (hours) without being granted a prep time.
Prep Time. 6-1 Grade K-5 teachers will have a minimum of 30 minutes before the student day and 30 minutes after the student day within their contract work hours for duty-free prep time. Grades 1-5 regular classroom teachers will have a minimum of 2 hours 25 minutes per week of planning time with no student responsibilities.
Prep Time. Bargaining Unit Members, excluding enrichment teachers, shall have a minimum of 225 minutes per week of prep time, which shall be as evenly distributed throughout the week as possible in light of individual building schedules. Enrichment teachers shall have a minimum of 180 minutes per week of prep time. Examples of enrichment teachers include, but are not limited to, physical education, music, band, etc.
1. Prep time at the various levels shall be during the student day and shall include:
a. Grades K-6: From the 225 minutes per week there may be at least one 45 minute weekly grade level team meeting, and at least one weekly team meeting per month may be scheduled with the principal.
b. Middle School: Prep time will normally be one class period per day equal to one period in a normal student day, not to exceed Xxxxx (60) minutes.

Prep Time a. Each full-time classroom teacher shall have no less than 220 minutes for preparation for each full school week (5 days). The sum of preparation time will be reflected on the Middle School/High School Staff Schedule. Elementary teachers shall be provided the time that their students are in specials or recess as preparation time. Elementary preparation time shall be determined by the elementary principal.
b. If a situation arises in which a teacher is asked to cover a class (during his or her preparation period/time) for another teacher, the covering teacher shall be compensated sub pay for the time they cover. In order to receive compensation, the subbing must have been assigned by administration on their designee and teachers must submit hours and dates of related coverages to the business manager in the form of a voucher.
c. If a situation arises in which a teacher is asked to cover a class or supervise a study hall which is of more than an incidental nature and the teacher agrees to take on the added duties, the teacher shall be compensated at a negotiated rate/salary.
