Real time FFR monitoring. The synchronous area monitor shall monitor the frequency stability in real time using a tool that is implemented in the SCADA systems at the TSOs. The tool generates an alarm if the estimated instantaneous frequency deviation caused by one or more contingencies on the contingency list is larger than the maximum instantaneous frequency deviation (an accuracy margin may be applied). The tool uses inputs of the real time kinetic energy, power of each incident in the contingency list and the maintained FFR volume. The TSOs shall make sure that this input data is provided and consists of the most actual information.
