Common use of Recall to Employment Clause in Contracts

Recall to Employment. ‌ Employees shall be recalled to their former position in reverse order of layoff. Employees will be eligible for recall for one year from the date of layoff. The laid off employee shall be notified at their last known address by certified mail of any recall to employment. If the employee fails to communicate acceptance of a recall to employment within 14 calendar days from the date of the mailing of the notice of recall to the employee’s last known address, the employee shall be considered as having forfeited any right to reemployment.
