Xxxxxxxxx Meetings. Association representative(s) and xxxxxxxxx covered by 13 this Agreement shall suffer no loss in their regular pay at straight time rates 14 when attending meeting with Employer representatives regarding formal 15 grievance steps. Pay is allowed only when the employee has been excused from 16 duty by the responsible supervisor, the meeting is during the employee’s 17 regularly scheduled working hours and the employee would have worked if 18 he/she had not attended the meeting. The Employer reserves the right to limit 19 the number of employees paid for attending a particular grievance meeting. 20 Except as provided in this section, one (1) Association representative shall be 21 paid for time, not to exceed two (2) hours per grievance, for investigating and 22 processing a grievance. Time paid must have prior approval by employee’s 23 Manager, and Association representatives shall not allow Association business 24 to interfere with their regular duties.

Xxxxxxxxx Meetings. The Grievance Committee shall meet with Management at such time as may be mutually acceptable and as will not conflict with operations. Due to the nature of bus driving for school children and the problems caused by interruption of scheduled routes, Grievance Committee members must necessarily process grievances and attend grievance meetings during other than normal working hours. Employees called to meetings--Any employee or group of employees who are called into any meeting regarding any matter, which comes under the jurisdiction of the Association, may request the presence of a member of the Grievance Committee and such request shall not be denied.
