Recognition Program. The Teacher Recognition Program is established to acknowledge the extraordinary time spent on activities that are beyond the usual and customary expectations of the teaching profession, and further, to encourage teacher participation in those activities. The program is recognition of the extra effort by teachers, which contributes to the quality of education in District 13. a) Activity Criteria: 1) An eligible activity must require at least 10 hours of participation. 2) No activity for which compensation is provided, or, with the exception of an activity conducted in lieu of a preparation period, which is conducted during a teacher’s “basic work day”, shall be considered an eligible activity.
