REFERENCE TO SPECIFICATIONS AND TRADE NAMES. In these Specifications, wherever American Society for Testing Materials or other specifications or standards are mentioned it shall be understood that the materials or methods mentioned therewith shall conform to all requirements of the issue in effect on date of submission of bids. In these specifications whenever the trade name of a product or the name of a product or the name of a manufacturer appears it shall be understood to specify the product so identified or its "Approved Equal." The words "Or Equal" or "Approved Equal" shall mean equal in the opinion of and approved by the Owner or its representative. Refer to requirements outlined in Section 01631 - SUBSTITUTIONS.
