Common use of Referral to City Manager Clause in Contracts

Referral to City Manager. ‌ If the grievance is not resolved within the Department, the employee or Unit representative may notify the City Manager in writing that a grievance exists. Such notifications shall state the particulars of the grievance and, if possible, the nature of the determination which is desired. A grievance which has been heard and investigated pursuant to this Section and Section 24.1 and which remains unresolved thirty (30) calendar days after it has been submitted in writing may be referred to the Adjustment Board.
