Common use of Rehabilitation Initiative Clause in Contracts

Rehabilitation Initiative. The Township recognizes that rehabilitation programs offer a possible alternative to terminating an Employee because of a positive random test. In the event of a first positive test, in lieu of termination, Employees will be referred to an Employee Assistance program if they can maintain driver’s license, Ohio Firefighter II certification, Ohio EMT or Paramedic certification, insurability and can continue to perform the essential functions of their position. Employees who test positive as result of a reasonable suspicion test pursuant to Section 37.7.
