REINSTATEMENT AFTER A LEAVE. 1227 Upon return from a leave of absence the employee shall be returned to the job and location the employee left. If this is impractical, the employee shall be restored to as comparable a job as possible. 1228 If an employee works for wages during a leave of absence, without receiving written permission from both the Employer and the Union, the employee shall be considered automatically terminated. 1229 An employee on a leave of absence who fails to return to work at the expiration of said leave should be considered automatically terminated.
