UNUSED SICK LEAVE PAY. Commencing with the employee’s second (2nd) and succeeding anniversary dates of employment, any sick leave not utilized by the employee during the anniversary year shall accumulate to a maximum of two hundred forty (240) hours. Earned sick leave hours in excess of two hundred forty (240) will be paid out annually on the employee’s anniversary date. All accumulated sick leave shall be available for use by employees who are unable to work because of illness or injury as specified in Paragraph 10 (A) of this Article. Employees who retire from the company will receive a payout of all accumulated sick leave hours. For purposes of this Article in regard to the payment of unused sick leave pay, “retirement” shall apply to an associate who is at least 50 years old, has at least 5 years of continuous service with the Employer, immediately qualifies for a pension under the Southern California UFCW and Drug Employers Pension Plan and advises the Employer, in writing, at least 14 days in advance, that the employee is retiring. For stores that become represented by the Union for purposes of collective bargaining and recognized by the Company as such and covered by this Agreement after December 31, 2012, in accordance with Article 10(B), employees will be credited with sick leave based on the following formula: forty-eight (48) hours for the employee’s anniversary year in which the store is covered by this Agreement minus sick hours taken in the same anniversary year. For example, an employee who used twenty-four (24) hours of sick leave during the anniversary year would have twenty-four (24) hours remaining in the sick leave bank.

Employees with fifteen (15) years of service shall be paid all accumulated sick leave hours upon separation unless discharged for proven or admitted dishonesty. UNUSED SICK LEAVE PAY. For the Employee’s second (2nd) and succeeding anniversary dates of employment, any unused sick leave to which an Employee may be entitled shall be paid on the Employee’s anniversary date of employment. The pro rata payment of accumulated sick leave, since his last anniversary date, shall not be paid to an Employee who quits or is discharged.
UNUSED SICK LEAVE PAY. 27.1 Regular full-time employees who have completed ten (10) or more years of continuous service with the EMPLOYER and who leave in good standing, will receive 33-1/3% of unused, accumulated sick leave upon their separation. Regular full-time employees who have completed twenty (20) or more years of continuous service with the EMPLOYER and who leave in good standing, will receive 50% of unused, accumulated sick leave upon their separation. To qualify for this benefit an employee must have an established sick leave bank resulting from the conversion to the PTO program. (Refer to Article XXIX section 19.1.) Any benefit paid under this Article shall be paid into the employee's Post- Employment Health Care Savings Plan (Refer to Article XXX (section 30.4).
UNUSED SICK LEAVE PAY. A teacher who has accumulated 70 days of sick leave by July 1 of each school year shall be eligible for unused sick leave pay. The teacher shall receive an annual payment for accumulated sick leave days in excess of 70 days at the rate of $75 per unused sick leave day payable by July 15 of the following year.
UNUSED SICK LEAVE PAY. Any employee who is eligible for retirement, and who meets the necessary requirements under the New York State Employees Retirement System, shall receive compensation for unused sick leave at the rate of one- half (1/2) of each day of unused sick leave up to a maximum of one hundred eighty (180) days. For the purpose of this clause, a day's pay will be computed at l/180th of the final year's salary to be included in the last salary voucher.

  • Sick Leave The employee is eligible for long term disability benefits if provided for in the Collective Agreement. An employee will not receive pay for the first two (2) weeks of any period of absence due to a legitimate illness. The employee may utilize the paid holiday bank as income replacement for absences due to illness, as described in Article (c) above. An employee who is eligible may apply for Employment Insurance for weeks three (3) through seventeen (17) for any absence due to a legitimate illness. The Home will provide the employee with Disability Income Protection as per Article 14.01 (c) for weeks eighteen (18) through thirty (30) for any absence due to a legitimate illness. Employees may be required to provide medical proof of illness for any absence of a scheduled shift, which is neither vacation nor an approved leave of absence.

  • Vacation; Paid Time Off During the Employment Term, the Executive shall be entitled to fifteen (15) paid vacation days per calendar year (prorated for partial years) in accordance with the Company’s vacation policies, as in effect from time to time that is at least as favorable as that provided to other similarly situated executives of the Company. The Executive shall receive other paid time-off in accordance with the Company’s policies for executive officers as such policies may exist from time to time.

  • Vacations and Sick Leave The Executive shall be entitled to paid annual vacation leave in accordance with the policies as established from time to time by the Board of Directors, which shall in no event be less than four weeks per annum. The Executive shall also be entitled to an annual sick leave benefit as established by the Board for senior management employees of the Bank. The Executive shall not be entitled to receive any additional compensation from the Bank for failure to take a vacation or sick leave, nor shall he be able to accumulate unused vacation or sick leave from one year to the next; provided, however, such Executive may carry forward from year to year a maximum of ten days of unused vacation leave.
