Relationship to Other Forms of Leave. (A) Employees shall be required to exhaust their accumulated vacation, compensatory time, and paid sick leave, before taking an unpaid family leave for the reasons set forth in subsections 11.7(A)(3) or (4). (B) Employees shall be required to exhaust their accumulated vacation and compensatory time, before taking an unpaid family leave for the reasons set forth in subsections 11.7(A)(1) or (2). (C) Any leave taken for the reasons set forth in subsections 11.7(A) shall be considered and treated as family leave, regardless of whether the employee is using vacation, compensatory time, paid sick leave, or unpaid leave. (D) The exhaustion requirements set forth in subparagraphs A and B of this Section shall not be construed to require an employee to exhaust his/her accumulated vacation or compensatory time before taking a paid sick leave under this Agreement or a paid leave under the Public Employee Disability Act (5 ILCS 345/1).
