Common use of Relationship to Other Leave Clause in Contracts

Relationship to Other Leave. Nothing in this section shall preclude an employee's right to apply for any other applicable leave. If the employee uses sick leave for any portion of the maternity disability leave, those days shall not count against the 12-week leave entitlement under the state and federal Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA). Employees who qualify for FMLA leave will not be required to exhaust paid leaves (e.g. sick leave).
