Relief and Meal Periods. Employees who work eight (8) hours in a day shall be provided two (2) fifteen (15) minute paid relief periods. Employees who work less than eight (8) hours in a day shall be provided one (1) fifteen (15) minute paid relief period. Relief periods shall be provided by the Employer approximately two (2) to three (3) hours after the commencement of the first half of an eight (8) hour shift and approximately two (2) to three (3) hours after the commencement of the second half of such shift. An unpaid meal period of not less than thirty (30) minutes and not more than one (1) hour shall be scheduled by the Employer. Relief periods and meal periods may be interrupted as necessary for the safe, efficient and proper administration of the Employer’s business. However, when an Employee’s unpaid meal period is interrupted, any time lost will be rescheduled by the Employer during the same shift. If an Employee’s paid relief period is so interrupted, any time lost will be rescheduled by the Employer during the same shift if it is possible to do so.
