Removal from Seniority List. An employee shall be removed from the seniority list for the following reasons: (a) If he quits; (b) If he is discharged; (c) If the employee is absent from work for three (3) consecutive work days, except in the case of actual sickness or accident and the Authority is notified on the first day of the absence (unless not possible to notify because of such actual sickness or accident); (d) If he fails to report back to work from a layoff after being notified to return to work (per Section 1 of this Article), except in the case of actual sickness or accident and the Authority is notified on the first day of the absence (unless not possible to notify because of such actual sickness or accident); (e) If he is physically unable to perform his duties per Section 8 of this Article; (f) If he fails to re-apply for employment after discharge from military duty (per Section 4 of this Article); and (g) If he receives from the pension plan his contributions or a pension benefit other than a disability benefit.

Removal from Seniority List. Upon successful qualification as a Pilot, including completion of all required Training, a Crewmember awarded a bid pursuant to this Subsection will be removed from the Flight Engineers' Seniority List.
Removal from Seniority List. (a) In the event a Continuing Education teacher elects not to submit a Continuing Education application for a period of two (2) years, his/her name will be removed from the seniority list. (b) A teacher whose name is removed under (a) above and who is subsequently rehired into the program in accordance with Article 39.02 shall accumulate credits for the purposes of seniority from the date of rehire.
