Reporting Illness. Any employee who, because of injury or sickness, is unable to report for work, must will endeavor to notify the Department Supervisor or designate at least one as soon as possible with a minimum of two (12) hours hours’ notice prior to the start of the shift except in emergency situations and in situations. In the case of absence for more than threethree (3) working days because of injury or illness, the employee will, if requested to do so, provide a doctor’s certificate certifying that such employee is unable to carry out his duties due to such cause. Employees are required to notify their supervisor or designate the day before they return to work from an injury or illness.
