Request for Review of Position. A. When an Employee, or the Union acting on behalf of an Employee, feels that the duties and responsibilities of his/her position are not accurately reflected in the job description, the Employee or Union will complete a Position Description Questionnaire (PDQ) and submit it to the Employee’s immediate supervisor. The supervisor shall review and comment on the PDQ within fifteen (15) working days and then forward it to the Department Director. The Department Director shall review and comment on the PDQ within fifteen (15) working days and then forward it to the Human Resources Director for review and audit. Human Resources shall provide a copy to the Union. The Employee and/or Union shall have the opportunity to discuss the proposed job description changes and express any concerns, priorities, and recommendations. B. For the purposes of determining appropriate grade level placement, a committee consisting of the Human Resources Director and one other management representative and two Union representatives shall review the revised job description and PDQ and make a salary level recommendation to the Human Resources Director. The Human Resources Director will render a written report of his/her decision within three (3) months after receipt of the PDQ. Any retroactive pay due to an Employee shall be paid from the date the PDQ was received in the Human Resources Department. If a mutually agreeable resolution is not achieved, any further appeal shall be submitted to arbitration as set forth in Article 15, Grievance Procedure.
