Requests for Hardship Reassignment. 1. Assignment/reassignment is a management right; however, an employee may request, individually or through their supervisor to the HRO, that the Agency reassign them to a different position and or work location as a result of a personal hardship. The request shall be submitted in writing, and must include an explanation of the hardship, how the reassignment would alleviate the hardship, and whether the reassignment would be temporary or permanent. The Agency shall provide a written response within a reasonable amount of time, normally within thirty (30) days, stating the reason(s) for their decision.
