Hours of Work and Compensation. The employee agrees to be responsible for maintaining the agreed upon hours of work and is required to keep a detailed record of hours worked (as well as verification as applicable), and to enter hours worked into the County timekeeping system as instructed. Employee pay rates and accrual of leave time benefits remain unchanged and in accordance with the terms of this agreement the employee will be compensated for all hours during which work is performed. Employees must get advance authorization for any hours worked outside of or beyond their normal work schedule. Employees are required to take rest and meal breaks per NYS Labor Laws and applicable collective bargaining agreements. The County will not reimburse the employee for the cost of any off-site related expenses and any personal tax implications related to the telework location shall be the employee’s responsibility.
Hours of Work and Compensation. 8.1 Hours of work will be within a 40-hour workweek. Hours of work will normally be Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. or flexible hours within an eight-hour day, except in the case of emergency or unusual circumstances in which case such schedule may be changed by the Employer. The Employer and the employee may mutually agree to a regular work schedule other than eight-hour workdays. 8.2 It is agreed that all employees subject to this Agreement will be classified and paid in accordance with the Statewide Broadband Pay Plan Policy. 8.3 a. Employees will be granted time and one-half compensatory time or time and one-half pay for any hours over 40 in one week. In June of each year, employees will be required to designate whether they want to receive cash or time payment for hours over 40 in a week. Compensatory time off may be allowed only at a time mutually agreeable to the Employer and the employee. The final authority to allow compensatory time to be earned or taken rests with the Employer.
Hours of Work and Compensation. 8.1 Hours of work will be up to twelve (12) hours per day and 80 hours in a two week pay period, with two (2) consecutive days off each week, except by mutual agreement between the employee and the Employer. Scheduled hours of work will be posted at least two weeks in advance. An emergency shall be defined as an unforeseen combination of circumstances which cannot be anticipated through normal planning processes, or the resulting state that calls for immediate action, i.e., an unusual increase in patient load, an unusual decrease in available staff, or a natural disaster. 8.2 All employees will be granted a meal and meal period within their shift. It is agreed that the thirty (30) minute meal period is properly calculated as part of the total compensation of an employee where such is provided under the terms of this Agreement. It is further understood that the meal period may be interrupted for service but when possible will resume at a later time. Designated RN's will report fifteen (15) minutes prior to shift in order to allow exchanges of information between shifts. Such fifteen (15) minutes shall be considered as time worked.

Hours of Work and Compensation. Section 8.1 Basic Workweek and Workday 1. The Agency will establish specific work schedules at each AR ARNG Activity necessary to accomplish the Agency’s mission IAW 5 CFR §550.103. Employer shall consider employee’s effectiveness, efficiency, professional development and morale in establishing employee’s specific workweek schedule. Changes to the work schedule policy that occur over the life of the contract must be bargained, prior to implementation, and shall be incorporated as an Amendment to this Agreement. 2. The Agency has the right to establish each employee’s workweek to ensure cost effective and timely compliance with operational requirements. Subject to these requirements, the Agency in establishing an employee’s work schedule shall take into consideration any personal hardship made known to the Agency by an employee and shall make every reasonable effort to provide each employee a work schedule fourteen (14) calendar days in advance of its effective date. It is agreed that work schedules shall remain in effect for at least two (2) pay periods.
Hours of Work and Compensation. A. Hours of Duty for Patrol officers: 1. Patrol officers will be assigned two, fourteen (14) day cycles (28 days). A 14-day cycle will occur in a 14-day period and will be made up of two (2) on, two (2) off, three (3) on, two (2) off, two (2) on, three (3) off and one 8-hour shift. Shifts are covered by two teams of two officers with one working the dayshift and one working the nightshift. The members of the same team may trade hours of work as long as overtime is not incurred and a supervisor is notified. Officers may elect to modify this schedule by submitting - in writing to the Chief of Police - their desire to do so, and all officers affected by the change must be in unanimous agreement to the change. The Chief of Police will then approve or deny the request. The 8- hour shifts will be on Thursdays: dayshift 0730-1530 and nightshift 2300-0730. Shifts will be bid annually by seniority. Dayshift/Nightshift Rotation: Each teams Night/Day shift shall rotate every 14 days. 2. Patrol Officers: 12 hour shifts are designated as dayshift from 0730 hrs to 1930 hrs and nightshift from 1930 hrs to 0730 hrs. 8 hour shifts are designated as from 0730 to 1530 hrs and 2330 to 0730 hrs. These designated 12 hour and 8 hour shift times do not apply to the 5th Officer. 3. Annual shift bids will be in order of seniority, that is, the most senior person will choose first, then the next most senior will choose, etc. Any shift that has been rejected by all officers will be filled by inverse seniority, that is, it will be filled by the least senior person.
