Required Notice and Documentation. a) The employee shall provide his/her employing department reasonable notice of his/her anticipated return to work. b) An employee returning from FML for his/her own serious health condition must provide a written medical release to return to work prior to returning to work. For returns after Pregnancy Disability Leave, see Section C.4. c) The employee who has been medically released to perform the essential assigned functions of his/her job shall be returned in accordance with the provisions of Section D.4.g. below. d) Failure to provide a medical release to return to work my result in the delay of reinstatement until the employee submits the required medical release certification.
