The Company will advise the appropriate committee or committees as soon as possible, and in any case not less than one hundred and eighty (180) days before the introduction thereof, of mechanization, technological changes and/or automation which the Company has decided to introduce and which will result in terminations or other significant changes in the employment status of employees. Such discussions will be held as soon as possible following notification of the Union(s) of impending technological change, and in any case not less than sixty (60) days prior to the expected date of the change.

Members shall be informed of the basic facts of the incident prior to any questioning and shall be informed to the extent known at the time, if the investigation is focused on the member for a potential disciplinary action or criminal charge. The member being investigated shall be given a copy of any citizen complaint or a summary of the basic facts of the incident of any noncitizen complaint prior to any questioning. When the investigator reasonably believes that either disciplinary action or criminal charges may result from a noncitizen complaint the summary of the basic facts shall be in writing except when the investigator witnesses the violation. Members will not be asked questions that do not relate to the basic facts of the incident, unless during questioning, other information is developed which could lead to additional allegations against the member. In such an event, the member will again be advised by the investigator of the potential for either disciplinary action or criminal charges. When a member requests it, he or she shall be given a brief period of time, prior to, and during any questioning, to locate and review any documents he or she possesses regarding the event(s) being, investigated, so the member may be fully prepared to accurately and completely respond to the questioning. Any investigating officer may accompany the member during this brief search for and review of such documents.
