Common use of Requirement for Signed Internal Complaint Clause in Contracts

Requirement for Signed Internal Complaint. No employee will be required to write a report to the Employer on any complaint directed against him by persons in or outside the Police Department, unless said persons reduce that complaint to writing to include any accusations against the employee, and affix their name thereto. Prior to any report having to be written by an employee, they will be furnished with a copy of said signed complaint. Nothing in this section shall modify or delete any of the provisions of the Bill of Rights section of the Agreement.
