Common use of Research and Scholarship Reductions Clause in Contracts

Research and Scholarship Reductions. a. Research and scholarship reductions will be granted for intensive research and scholarship only and in the sole discretion of the Administration. All faculty members shall be eligible to receive a research and scholarship reduction. b. Requests for research and scholarship reductions shall be submitted to the Personnel and Budget Committee of the department which will make recommendations to the Xxxx. The decision on research and scholarship reductions shall be made by the Xxxx, subject to the approval of the Xxxxxxx. The Xxxx shall notify the Department Chairperson who will then notify the Personnel and Budget Committee of the decisions on research and scholarship reductions and the reasons for them and inform the faculty member of such decisions.
