Common use of Responsibility Allowances Clause in Contracts

Responsibility Allowances. ‌ 5.5.1 Annual responsibility allowances are payable to faculty members in the following positions in accordance with the rates established in Appendix I, (Salary Schedule): 5.5.2 Faculty members appointed or requested to assume fully the duties of Instructional Associates, Department Heads, Assistant Department Heads or Coordinators on a temporary basis for a period of one month or longer, shall receive the applicable allowance as prescribed in Appendix I, (Salary Schedule) for the entire period of temporary assumption of these responsibilities. This clause is not applicable to replacement during the vacation periods of the incumbent being replaced.
