Common use of Rest Pauses Clause in Contracts

Rest Pauses. 15.1 Employees who work a minimum of 4 consecutive ordinary hours but less than 7.6 consecutive ordinary hours will receive a rest pause of 10 minutes duration. Employees who work a minimum of 7.6 consecutive ordinary hours (excluding the meal break) on any 1 day will receive a rest pause of 10 minutes duration in the first half and the second half of the period worked.

(2) Where Employees who work a minimum are engaged for 7.6 hours or more per day, exclusive of 7.6 consecutive ordinary hours (excluding the any meal break) on any 1 day will receive , such Employee shall be entitled to a second paid rest pause of 10 (10) minutes duration duration. (3) Rest pauses shall be taken at the Employer's direction so as to not interfere with continuity of work where continuity in the first half and the second half opinion of the period workedEmployer is necessary.

Employees who work a minimum of 7.6 consecutive ordinary hours (excluding the meal break) on any 1 day will receive a rest pause of 10 minutes ten minutes' duration in the first half and the second half of the period worked. 4.5.3 Rest pauses will be taken at times to suit the Employer and where both parties agree the rest pauses may be combined so that the Employee has one rest pause of 20 minutes' duration each day.
