Common use of Retention of Earned Benefits Clause in Contracts

Retention of Earned Benefits. Leave of absence under this Article will not constitute a break in employment for purposes of seniority. An employee who returns to work from an unpaid leave within the provisions of this Article shall retain all previous experience credit for pay purposes and any unused leave time accumulated under the provisions of this Agreement at the commencement of the beginning of the leave. The employee shall not accrue additional experience credit for pay purposes or leave time during the period of absence for unpaid leave.
