HOLIDAYS AND VACATIONS. If work is performed on Buyer's premises, Buyer shall not be obligated to make any payments to Seller for days designated by Buyer as holidays or shutdown periods, except for work specifically authorized in writing by Xxxxx's Authorized Procurement Representative and performed by Seller on such days.

14.2 Employees shall be compensated for the holiday or vacation day as though they had worked a regular schedule for the day.
14.3 Holidays falling on Saturday will be observed on Friday. Holidays falling on Sunday will be observed on Monday.
14.4 Employees who work on holidays will be paid double their regular rate of pay.

Less than 10 Month Employees (Dining Services workers associated with the Xxxxxx Head Start program) receive a pro-rated allocation of one (1) day per month worked. All vacation requests are subject to District approval. In the case of twelve-month employees, vacation may be requested when school is in session. Such requests must be made no less than fifteen (15) workdays in advance. The employee’s supervisor will determine approval or non-approval of such requests, based upon building needs during the time of the requested vacation. The District reserves the right to determine whether or not substitute employees will be hired in such circumstances. Number of vacation days accrued will not be affected by a temporary reduction in contract days due to Furlough.
14.6 Employees who begin work after the start of the regular work year of their position will receive a pro rata vacation entitlement for the initial year they are employed in the district.
14.7 During the first year of employment each employee is eligible to take vacation as earned. Vacation is to be taken by December 31 following the end of the fiscal year. If an employee does not use their vacation by the end of the school year, the employee will meet with their supervisor to plan when their vacation will occur. HOLIDAYS AND VACATIONS. 16.1 All employees shall be paid for legal holidays as listed in 16.3, which normally occur during the employee’s regularly scheduled work year, provided the employee works the regularly scheduled work day before and the regularly scheduled work day after the scheduled holiday. An employee is considered to have worked if the employee is on an approved paid leave or vacation. If an employee is on sick leave the regularly scheduled work day before or after the holiday, holiday pay will be paid. The District has the right to request a valid doctor’s slip indicating the employee was sick that day.
16.2 In the event the legal holiday falls on a weekend, the holiday will be taken on the Friday before or the following Monday, as agreed upon with the immediate supervisor unless otherwise determined by the District.
16.3 Employees who would normally be scheduled to work the regularly scheduled work day before and the regularly scheduled work day after any holiday listed below shall receive their average daily rate of compensation for that holiday (based on a 5 day work week). 8.02 Employees shall be paid vacation and statutory holiday pay in the amount of ten per cent (10%). That part of the amount allocated to vacation pay shall be the minimum required by the Employment Standard Act, as amended from time to time, and the balance shall be in lieu of payment for recognized Statutory Holidays.
8.03 The Employer shall forward the employee’s accumu- lated Vacation Pay monthly and in accordance with Article 9.00 herein to the designated administrator of the Vacation Pay Trust Fund.
8.04 Vacation Pay shall be paid from the Fund twice annually, July 1st. and December 1st.
8.05 This Article shall have no applicability to the piecework- er.

a) such employee shall have worked until closing time of the Plant on his last scheduled working day in the nine working days preceding such holiday (unless prevented from doing so by illness or accident arising in such nine working day period and proved by a doctor’s certificate or justifiable in the Nurse’s opinion or circumstances occurring in the Plant over which the employee has no control); or by special permission requested by the Union in individual cases, and granted by Management; such employee presents himself for work at the proper time and ready, able and willing to work on his next regularly scheduled working day in the nine working days following such holiday (unless prevented from doing so by illness or accident arising in such nine working day period and proved by a doctor’s certificate or justifiable in the Nurse’s opinion or circumstances occurring in the Plant over which the employee has no control); or by special permission requested by the Union in individual cases, and granted by Management; all new employees shall not be entitled to holiday pay unless they were employed at least nine working days prior to a holiday. In addition, sections (a) and of Article paragraph will also apply to new employees. When a holiday (with the exception of Christmas) falls on a day other than Monday or Friday and doing so by illness or accident nine working day period and proved by a doctor’s certificate or justifiable in the Nurse’s opinion or circumstances occurring in the Plant over which the employee has no control) or forfeit their pay for the actual holiday. Subject to the provisions of this Article, an employee who does not work on a holiday shall be entitled to be paid for such holiday, at his normal rate.
