Retention of Seniority on Layoff. In the event an employee is laid off, he/she will not lose his/her seniority and will continue to accrue in accordance with Article 11 during the layoff period. For further clarification, laid off employees shall continue to be afforded job vacancies while they are being posted in accordance with Article 12, and work of a casual or temporary nature in accordance with Article 11.07.
