Return from Leave in Excess of One Year. Unless otherwise specifically provided for in this Agreement, an employee returning from a leave of absence in excess of one (1) year shall, to the extent possible, be permitted to return to the position they occupied when they began their leave. The City shall not, however, be required to displace any employee, but in the event their position has been filled, they shall be placed on a preferential hiring list.
