Review of Staff Regulations Sample Clauses

Review of Staff Regulations. 4.3.1 The Executive Secretary noted that MoP4 made a number of amendments to Staff Regulation 5.1, which establishes the remuneration package for the Executive Secretary. One of the amendments tied the Executive Secretary’s salary to the 2013 – 2015 Agreement Budget, and consequently this regulation will need to be revised to establish the position’s salary for the coming triennium.

Review of Staff Regulations. 4.3.1 Based on a review of the current Staff Regulations (Resolution 5.3), the Executive Secretary reported that although no specific amendments are proposed, the report of the Secretariat (MoP6 Doc 09) includes a recommendation regarding the criteria used for the selection of the Executive Secretary. This recommendation relates to ‘essential criterion’ 4, which requires ‘fluency in one of the ACAP languages’. Because the Agreement’s Secretariat is based in Australia, extensive interaction with Australian Government agencies (for example in finance matters) is required. The Secretariat therefore recommended that ‘Fluency in English’ be made an essential criterion, with proficiency in the other Agreement languages retained as ‘desirable criterion’ 8.
